Our Pledge of Privacy

Maintaining the privacy of relations with our clients is of the highest priority. We understand well how damaging unauthorized or accidental “leaks” about seeking help for substance abuse disorder can be for professionals, high-visibility personalities, or even close family members. We spare no effort in ensuring complete privacy from our first moment of contact.

Because we operate on a self-pay basis– unconnected to any insurers or government agencies—intimate details about your health, medical records, treatment protocols, or even identities of treating/counselling/coaching personnel remain only to you, our client.

If you choose in-home detoxification, our visiting nurses, nurse-practitioners, or other service professionals have specific protocols to follow so as to remain undetected and unobtrusive—yet available to you on a 24/7 basis. If the choice is to undergo detox at an offsite location (a vacation home or well-protected resort facility) the same procedures are employed.

As for intake, treatment or follow-up information recorded by our staff remains sealed—available to no other party except by your written permission. If, for example, you wish to involve a primary care or family physician in your detox process (which we encourage), we will share treatment records to the extent you wish them shared. And to enhance that level of privacy, we will share the identities of our treatment providers only you or your representatives.

Our intake staff will be happy to respond to any specific questions you may have that relate to your security, privacy, or special circumstances of concern.
